US Stock Futures july 21 2011, Intel Corp. (INTC), EBay Inc. (EBAY) and Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) ; Among the companies whose shares are expected to actively trade in Thursday's session are Intel Corp. (INTC), EBay Inc. (EBAY) and Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM).

Intel's second-quarter profit rose a better-than-expected 2.3% on continued demand from corporate customers and personal-computer buyers in emerging markets, though margins fell. The company also forecast a bullish current-quarter top line. Shares were off 1.8% at $22.58 after-hours amid lower sales of Intel's Atom microprocessors.

EBay posted a 25% jump in second-quarter revenue and raised its full-year forecast, as the online market's payments and sales businesses demonstrated strong growth. But shares fell 2.3% to $32.42 after hours.

Qualcomm reported a 35% increase in third-quarter earnings and boosted its guidance for the year as the wireless chip maker benefits from strong global demand for smartphones and its recent acquisition of Atheros Communications Inc. Shares, though, fell 2.9% to $55.62 in after-hours trading on concerns about Qualcomm's licensing revenue and its guidance for chip shipments in the fourth quarter.

Seagate Technology Inc.'s (STX) fiscal fourth-quarter earnings slumped 69% as the maker of hard drives for personal computers and corporate data centers reported weaker gross margins, although shipments of hard-disk drives grew. Shares slid 12% to $14.90 in after-hours trading.

Genworth Financial Inc. (GNW) warned Wednesday that it will report a second-quarter loss of $92 million to $112 million as it again bolsters reserves at its troubled mortgage-insurance unit. Shares fell 8.9% to $8.63 in after-hours trading after the company disclosed the loss.

F5 Networks Inc.'s (FFIV) fiscal third-quarter profit climbed 54%, thanks to sales in Japan and the Asia Pacific region that the Internet traffic service provider said accounted for a majority of the quarter's strong revenue growth. Shares fell 7% to $103.60 in after-hours trading even as earnings handily topped the company's estimate and revenue was in-line with its view. Its fourth-quarter EPS forecast bracketed analysts' average estimate. Revenue from Europe, the Middle East and Africa fell sequentially.

Dutch staffing company Randstad Holding NV (RAND.AE) agreed to pay $709.8 million in cash to acquire SFN Group (SFN), a deal that would boost the company's presence in the highly fragmented North American human-resources-services market. Shares of SFN soared 52% to $13.99 after hours, nearly matching the $14 a share offer.

Tractor Supply Co.'s (TSCO) second-quarter earnings rose 18% as sales were helped by strong demand for animal and pet-related products. The company again boosted its full-year per-share earnings and revenue guidance, but shares were off 4.6% to $67.43 as top-line results missed analyst expectations.

Datalink Corp.'s (DTLK) second-quarter profit soared higher than expected as the information-storage company posted higher sales from a growing list of customers. Shares jumped 15% to $9.10 after hours Wednesday as the company also issued an upbeat third-quarter earnings forecast.

Xilinx Inc.'s (XLNX) fiscal first-quarter profit fell 2.7% as higher operating expenses cut into the programmable-chip maker's margins. Shares were off 2.5% at $32.35 after-hours Wednesday, though the company reported better-than-expected revenue.

Robert Half International Inc.'s (RHI) second-quarter earnings tripled for the second straight quarter, as the temporary-staffing company reported particular strength in permanent placements and technology staffing. Shares were up 9.5% at $28.26 in after-hours trading.

Cheesecake Factory Inc.'s (CAKE) second-quarter earnings rose 29% as the casual-dining company saw same-store sales keep climbing. Shares were down 5% at $31.05 after hours as revenue increased less than expected.

Noble Corp.'s (NE) second-quarter profit fell 75% after several rig service interruptions cut into revenue. Shares fell 4.1% to $36.08 after hours after the worse-than-expected results.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration Wednesday approved AstraZeneca PLC's (AZN) anticlotting drug Brilinta. Shares rose 1.8% to $50.34 in after-hours trading.

Terex Corp.'s (TEX) second-quarter loss narrowed significantly, and it swung to a profit on a continuing-operations basis on strong sales. But shares were down 3.7% at $26.20 after hours because the bottom line was still weaker than expected even after adjustments for one-time items.

EMC Insurance Group Inc. (EMCI) predicted a wide loss in the second quarter and slashed its outlook for the year into the red, struggling under the weight of a record level of catastrophe losses following a particularly destructive tornado season. Shares in the property and casualty insurer were down 11% at $16.75 after hours.

MKS Instruments Inc.'s (MKSI) second-quarter earnings crept 0.5% lower as margin improvement compensated for weaker sales, but shares fell on the chip-instrument company's weak forecast for the current quarter. The stock was down 7.7% at $23.15 in after-hours trading.

Idera Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IDRA) said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has told it to freeze a planned midstage trial testing its IMO-3100 candidate for the treatment of psoriasis. Shares fell 9.7% to $1.76 after hours.

Freescale Semiconductor Holdings I Ltd.'s (FSL) second-quarter loss narrowed as the semiconductor company reported higher sales of microcontrollers and other products and stronger gross margins. Shares were down 5.2% to $16.30 after hours.

Werner Enterprises Inc.'s (WERN) second-quarter profit climbed 31% on higher revenue and margins, despite sluggish freight demand in the first two months of the quarter and higher fuel prices. Shares rose 1.1% to $25.10 after hours.
