apple stock news july 13 2011 : Despite managing to dominate the world of hype last year with the iPhone 4, Apple’s market share has been cut by half in just 12 months. Most of this has apparently benefited Android-based smartphones.

This time last year, Apple’s share was a healthy 30.6%, but the sale of its devices has fallen markedly in the intervening period, resulting in a recent market share of just 18.3%. Apple will no doubt hope the advent of its latest iPhone or iPhones will bolster this figure.
